FDA Not Happy With Diet Coke Plus Label

Seattle - On Dec. 10, 2008 Roberta Wagner of the FDA issued a warning letter to Muhtar Kent, President and CEO of Coca-Cola. This letter states that Diet Coke Plus is misbraneded because it does not meet the criteria to make a nutrient content claim. The letter further states that “FDA does not consider it appropriate to fortify snack foods such as carbonated beverages.” Wagner gave Coca-Cola fifteen working days to take corrective action.

Men's Health ranks Madison No. 1 in US for men

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A national magazine has named Madison the No. 1 place in American for men, while a second magazine names the city No. 8 in the U.S. for women.
Men's Health magazine ranked cities based on 38 factors, including cancer rates, air quality and the number of gym memberships. It ranked Wisconsin's capital No. 1 overall, and No. 7 for best quality of life for men.

Zimbabwe court denies rights activist hospital treatment request

HARARE (AFP) — Zimbabwe's high court on Friday refused a request by a top rights activist detained on accusations of plotting to overthrow the government to be taken to hospital for treatment after alleged torture -- contradicting an earlier order by the same court.

Turns out Hartford's not half bad. Out of 100 cities, the Capitol City ranked 25 overall.
Health: This included male death rates from heart disease and cancer.
Habitat: The city's standard of living, assessing crime, job growth and air quality.

Iran discovers 3 tons of drugs daily: police chief

TEHRAN – National Police Chief Brigadier General Esmaeil Ahmadi Moqaddam said on Sunday that every day three tons of drugs are discovered in Iran.
